Breasts & Blooms: Screening, Fellowship, and Community

Serving around the world has never replaced our commitment to serving at home.

In May 2026, The Well Projects partnered with The Well MD to host Breasts & Blooms, bringing breast cancer screening directly to our community in Greer, South Carolina, with a 3D mobile breast center on site.

For uninsured and underinsured women, the cost of mammography was covered in full.

The message was simple: early detection saves lives.

But Breasts & Blooms was intentionally about more than a mammogram. We wanted women to feel welcomed, cared for, and valued.

Every woman left with a rose. What could have felt like a daunting medical appointment became a warm experience centered around health, encouragement, and connection.

Something beautiful happened along the way: women stayed.

Long after their screenings were finished, women remained, some for hours, to fellowship, talk, laugh, and build relationships with one another. What began as a screening event became a gathering place for community.

Breasts & Blooms reminded us that making preventive care easy, local, welcoming, and accessible is one of the most practical ways we can serve the women around us.
